Join us in celebrating Riddells Creek Landcare’s achievements over the past year at our AGM at 7.00pm on Tuesday 23rd July, at Riddells Creek Neighbourhood House. We will also be looking forward to our next year of projects, continuing our theme of discovering and protecting our local biodiversity. With our new purchase of outdoor remote cameras, members of Riddells Creek Landcare will soon be able to identify the animals that are frequenting their properties, so come along and hear more about this. You can join Riddells Creek Landcare right then and there at our AGM!

Our AGM guest speaker this year is George Wright. George is one of Riddells Creek’s recent residents and Riddells Creek Landcare has invited him to talk with us about bushfire behaviour. George is a recently-retired consultant in wildfire matters, with qualifications in forestry and town planning as well as wine-making. He is interested in natural systems, how they are adapted for human productive enterprises and how communities cope with them. As a current CFA volunteer he is particularly interested in how bushfires impact on firefighters and their families. George will conclude his talk by discussing how Riddells Creek could be impacted by bushfires in future.

Date: Tuesday 23rd July

Time: 7.00pm AGM: 7.30pm Guest speaker George Wright: followed by a light supper

Where: Riddells Creek Neighbourhood House, 59 Main Road, Riddells Creek
