Myriapod means lots of legs. Insects have 3 pairs of legs, spiders have four, whereas myriapods
(centipedes and millipedes) have more than 4 pairs of legs. Millipedes & centipedes have elongated
bodies made up of many segments (insects have three segments and spiders two).

Is it a millipede or a centipede?
Millipedes have two legs per body sement, centipedes only have one pair of legs per body segment.
