This seemingly insignificant weevil turns out to be a species of interest to CSIRO.
If you see this weevil and, more importantly, if you see what it is feeding on
let us know ASAP. It was released deliberately in Queensland as a biological
control agent against the weed Parthenium hysterophorus (Parthenium Weed
- one of the worst weeds in Australia). The Weevil is from Argentina & Brazil.
